This is Marky

I’m Emma Markezic - or Marky - a Chicago-based writer, photographer and creative strategist.

Hailing from Australia, I author books, write for travel magazines, take photographs for select clients and help creative collaborations come together. I've worked for media outlets like Rolling Stone, Elle, and GQ, and brands including Cartier, L’Oréal and Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy.

As a journalist with over 20 years of experience, I focus on lifestyle and travel. As a photographer, I don’t just capture a brand or event, I become an ambassador for it. I also have an extensive background in entertainment, having worked in stand-up comedy, television presenting, and event hosting and styling.

My work is intimate, celebratory and aims to give more people a seat at the table. Whether through storytelling, chronicling an event or fostering ongoing creative partnerships. I find the innate charm in people and places and document it for the world.
